Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or related supervisory role
- Completion of sanitation course within the first year
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to manage and motivate team members
- Basic math skills for inventory and production calculations
- Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
- Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
- Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
- Maintain all serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications
- Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
- Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
- Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
- Train and mentor other food service workers
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Recommend equipment replacement
- Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees as necessary
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm timely preparation and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings
- Maintain communication with staff
- Perform cashier duties as needed
- Promote good public relations
