Job Requirements

  • Previous sous chef experience is required
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Must have open availability including weekends
  • Full-time availability
  • Willingness to comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Ability to interact positively with customers
  • Must be able to work variable hours
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Previous sous chef experience
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment
  • Supervisory experience managing food service staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Basic knowledge of menu items and culinary techniques

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and participation in reviews
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks production, consumption and waste
  • Performs other duties as assigned
