Job Requirements
- Prior experience as a sous chef
- Ability to work full time including nights and weekends
- Food safety and sanitation compliance knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to perform physical kitchen tasks
- Ability to handle fast-paced work environment

Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, performance reviews, and recommending disciplinary actions
- Stores food in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving
- Keeps display equipment clean during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Relays relevant information to supervisor
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
