Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary experience is required
  • ability to work a full-time schedule with varying hours and days
  • good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • capacity to supervise and train staff effectively
  • basic knowledge of food safety regulations
  • strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience
  • supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage a team and coordinate kitchen activities
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • understanding of menu items and food production processes

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, performance reviews, and disciplinary action
  • stores food according to corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstations thoroughly
  • interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and communicates with supervisors
  • demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately to associates and customers
  • monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks production, consumption and waste
  • performs other duties as assigned
