Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years supervisory experience in restaurant or healthcare setting
- Minimum three years cooking experience
- Certification in food service sanitation
- Ability to train and manage staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- Food service certification preferred
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in restaurant or healthcare setting
- At least three years experience in quality cooking or restaurant cooking
- Training in cost control and food management preferred
- Certification in food service sanitation required
- Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, safety rules and instructions
- Ability to write reports and effectively communicate with staff and residents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Train and supervise dining service staff in meal preparation and quality control
- Delegate tasks and conduct performance evaluations
- Assist in planning and developing menus, recipes, and catering activities
- Manage food production amounts and inventory to meet operational needs
- Implement and maintain sanitation and safety protocols including weekly inspections
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth dining operations
- Assist in staffing processes including recruitment, scheduling, and equipment maintenance
