Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years supervisory experience in restaurant or healthcare setting
  • Minimum three years cooking experience
  • Certification in food service sanitation
  • Ability to train and manage staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Culinary arts degree preferred
  • Food service certification preferred
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience in restaurant or healthcare setting
  • At least three years experience in quality cooking or restaurant cooking
  • Training in cost control and food management preferred
  • Certification in food service sanitation required
  • Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, safety rules and instructions
  • Ability to write reports and effectively communicate with staff and residents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • Train and supervise dining service staff in meal preparation and quality control
  • Delegate tasks and conduct performance evaluations
  • Assist in planning and developing menus, recipes, and catering activities
  • Manage food production amounts and inventory to meet operational needs
  • Implement and maintain sanitation and safety protocols including weekly inspections
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth dining operations
  • Assist in staffing processes including recruitment, scheduling, and equipment maintenance
