Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant food service experience
  • prior managerial or supervisory experience
  • experience working in healthcare or senior living foodservice settings
  • ability to work full time with flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • capability to perform physical kitchen tasks
  • willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Duties

  • cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
  • stores food in designated areas adhering to corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperature maintenance
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, cleaning workstations thoroughly
  • interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption and waste
  • performs other duties as assigned
