Job Requirements
- Five years of prior culinary experience
- Ability to supervise food service associates
- Knowledge of corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Capability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks
- Availability to work full time including variable shifts
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of prior culinary experience
- Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage inventory and control food waste
- Proficiency in understanding and following recipes and production standards
- Capacity to work varying schedules including full-time hours
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption and waste, and informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
