Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking and sanitation experience preferred
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Availability to work at Avidity Biosciences location in San Diego, CA
- Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking and sanitation experience preferred
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday schedule
- Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Store food in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
- Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Track product production, consumption and waste
- Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Perform other assigned duties
