Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in high volume catering
  • valid Food Handler's card preferred
  • ability to work Monday through Friday with varying hours
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Previous high volume catering experience
  • valid Food Handler's card preferred
  • experience supervising food service staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
  • stores food in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • cleans workstation thoroughly and keeps display equipment clean during meal service
  • interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
  • monitors inventory and deliveries, tracks product production, consumption and waste and informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • performs other duties as assigned
