Job Requirements

  • A valid Food Handler's card is preferred
  • Availability for a full-time schedule with varying days and hours
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a supervisory culinary role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain production standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
  • Coordinate activities of cooks and other food-service associates
  • Assume responsibility for kitchen and food-service associates in the absence of Executive Chef
  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, performance reviews, and recommending disciplinary action
  • Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
  • Keep up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, track product production, consumption and waste
  • Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Perform other duties as assigned
