Job Requirements

  • Sous chef experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time schedule including Monday to Friday and some weekends
  • Ability to follow approved recipes and production standards
  • Capability to supervise and manage food service associates
  • Strong attention to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to supervise and manage hourly food service associates
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking and food production management
  • Ability to work full-time schedule including some weekends
  • Basic culinary skills and cooking techniques knowledge

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action
  • Stores food following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of products and supplies and informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
