Job Requirements

  • Previous sous chef experience required
  • ability to work full-time schedule including weekends and variable days
  • knowledge of state and federal food safety regulations
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
  • strong organizational skills
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • culinary training preferred
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage inventory and production

  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings

Job Duties

  • Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
  • coordinate activities of cooks and food-service associates
  • supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary recommendations
  • store food following corporate, state, and federal food safety procedures
  • ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • interact with customers to resolve complaints
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items
  • monitor inventory and deliveries
  • perform other assigned duties
