Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of previous customer service, sous chef, and catering experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time on scheduled days including weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding kitchen tasks
  • Food handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and production standards

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years of sous chef or related culinary experience
  • Previous customer service and catering experience preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance reviews
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • Tracks product production, consumption and waste
  • Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
