Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sous chef or similar kitchen supervisory experience required
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Must be able to perform physical tasks related to kitchen work
- Willingness to adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Prior sous chef experience or similar role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Capacity to manage inventory and control waste
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
- Stores food in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils including cleaning workstations thoroughly
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption, and waste, informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
