Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- minimum 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- strong leadership skills
- excellent communication abilities
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
- experience with budget management
- commitment to customer service excellence

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
- estimates daily production needs and communicates production requirements to kitchen personnel
- assists executive chef with kitchen operations and preparation
- prepares and cooks foods for daily service and special events
- develops new culinary applications and designs food presentations
- maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
- ensures compliance with sanitation and food handling standards
- supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and food preparation workers
- leads kitchen shifts and executes food preparation according to specifications
- utilizes interpersonal skills to lead and influence team members
- encourages cooperation and mutual respect among staff
- serves as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
- maintains employee productivity levels
- establishes clear performance expectations and communicates them
- ensures fair and consistent administration of property policies
