Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Must comply with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary skills and creativity
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
Job Duties
- Train and inspire the kitchen staff to excel in all tasks including presentation and technique
- Lead and manage kitchen operations including creating schedules and evaluating staff performance
- Maintain clear and open communication between management and kitchen staff
- Quickly address and resolve kitchen issues to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain high food quality standards and ensure seamless food service
- Support setting kitchen goals to enhance performance and profitability
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Keep records up to date and submit payroll on time
