Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Must comply with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and creativity
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Train and inspire the kitchen staff to excel in all tasks including presentation and technique
  • Lead and manage kitchen operations including creating schedules and evaluating staff performance
  • Maintain clear and open communication between management and kitchen staff
  • Quickly address and resolve kitchen issues to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain high food quality standards and ensure seamless food service
  • Support setting kitchen goals to enhance performance and profitability
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Keep records up to date and submit payroll on time
