Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Culinary school graduate preferred
- 1-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts
- Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day food preparation and menu execution for AYR patient food services and catering
- Ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct and motivate
- Maintain highest level of service quality and food presentation
- Estimate food consumption and ensure proper purchasing and recipe standards
- Identify potential problems and report status to management
- Enforce high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety throughout kitchen
- Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and kitchen areas
- Create a safe work environment through training and compliance with safety and loss prevention programs
- Follow City of Hope policies on safety, attendance, performance improvement, and compliance
- Maintain confidentiality and practice integrity
- Perform other related duties as assigned
