Job Description
This position is for a Sous Chef role within a dynamic kitchen environment, assisting the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations. The hiring establishment is likely a high-standard restaurant or dining facility where food quality, team management, and service excellence are paramount. Job Requirements
- Culinary school graduate preferred
- Two years experience in supervisory position required
- Ability to work in extreme heat or cold, including secondary smoke from grills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 20 pounds overhead
- Ability to work in tight areas
- Strong team leadership and communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of the main, grill, and banquet kitchens including ordering, scheduling, sanitation, maintenance, employee development, and performance reviews
- Responsible for proper preparation, excellence of product, profit and labor cost
- Organize and help in the service of all activities concerning a la carte, employee meals and private dining rooms
- Responsible for the quality and variety of all food being served on the shift
- Hire, train, supervise, and/or terminate employees when needed
- Enhance the overall knowledge and team spirit of the kitchen staff
- Carry out sanitation needs of the kitchen following Executive Chef's standards
- Implement all cleaning schedules and duties set up by the Executive Chef
