Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to work full-time onsite
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen operations management
  • Culinary skills including food preparation and presentation
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities

  • Ability to manage budgets and labor schedules
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen shift operations ensuring compliance with food and beverage policies
  • Estimate daily production needs and communicate with kitchen personnel
  • Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Prepare and cook food items regularly and for special functions
  • Develop and create new culinary applications, ideas, and decorative food displays
  • Maintain purchasing, receiving and storage standards
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations
  • Supervise cooks and kitchen staff
  • Lead shifts and prepare food items to required specifications
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence team
  • Build trust, respect, and cooperation among kitchen team
  • Act as role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • Manage employee productivity and set performance expectations
  • Administer property policies fairly and consistently
  • Recognize high-quality products and ensure food quality standards
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment reporting malfunctions
  • Provide exceptional customer service exceeding guest expectations
