Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a banquet chef or sous chef in a hotel
  • proven success in consistently executing a high-quality product in a professional production kitchen
  • detail-oriented approach with a passion for mentoring and developing a team
  • progressive career growth in various cuisine styles
  • exceptional organizational skills
  • ability to collaborate with management on menu development
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations and standards

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations
  • create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, and recognition
  • help maintain food quality, presentation, and cost control measures
  • support the execution of all hotel meals and banquet services
  • contribute to overall financial profitability through effective kitchen management
