Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
- strong leadership and management skills
- excellent culinary skills including scratch cooking and catering
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- experience in profit and loss management
- ability to develop standardized recipes and control food costs
- strong communication and team-building abilities
- familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes
Job Duties
- Culinary scratch cooking

- managing kitchen flow and recipe compliance
- maintaining culinary standards
- profit and loss management
- hiring, training, and teaching kitchen staff
- managing kitchen staff and assuming Chef-Manager duties when absent
- ensuring kitchen procedures and cleaning schedules are followed
- verifying meal quality and timely preparation
- assisting in planning, ordering, inventory, and controlling profit margins
- maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe kitchen environment
- establishing food and labor cost goals
- conducting cost control analysis
- developing standardized recipes and menu revisions
- leading, coaching, training, and motivating staff
- performing other duties as assigned
