Job Requirements

  • College or culinary school degree
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to culinary school graduation or relevant training
  • Three or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • Scratch cooking experience
  • Preferred experience with sauté and broiler techniques
  • Preferred ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Manual dexterity to use kitchen utensils and equipment
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull continuously
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work within varying temperature ranges

Job Qualifications

  • College or culinary school degree
  • Culinary training or equivalent education and experience
  • Three or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • Scratch cooking experience
  • Knowledge of sauté and broiler cooking techniques preferred
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage, hire, and train kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in supervising and coordinating culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations memory care, and Club Room
  • Provide culinary training to kitchen employees to maintain quality and consistency
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to meet community standards
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules and workflow to ensure efficient operations
  • Assist in planning and executing special events and private functions
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain inventory and requisition kitchen supplies as needed
