Job Requirements

  • culinary sous chef certification from an accredited school or equivalent experience
  • valid state food handlers management certification
  • proficiency in microsoft office word and excel
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • physical ability to stand, walk, move throughout the property during shift
  • manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • good vision and hearing capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • culinary sous chef certification from an accredited school or 3-5 years progressive experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area in a supervisory or management capacity
  • proficiency in microsoft office word and excel
  • valid state food handlers management certification
  • strong organizational and leadership qualities
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef in supervising day-to-day kitchen operations
  • deliver exceptional customer experience to maximize sales and revenue
  • act as the executive chef in their absence
  • ensure compliance with florida state safety and health regulations
  • maintain current state food handlers management certificate
  • enforce company standards, policies, procedures, and practices
  • manage kitchen staff and food preparation processes
