Job Requirements
- culinary sous chef certification from an accredited school or equivalent experience
- valid state food handlers management certification
- proficiency in microsoft office word and excel
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- physical ability to stand, walk, move throughout the property during shift
- manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- good vision and hearing capabilities
Job Qualifications
- culinary sous chef certification from an accredited school or 3-5 years progressive experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area in a supervisory or management capacity
- proficiency in microsoft office word and excel
- valid state food handlers management certification
- strong organizational and leadership qualities
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
Job Duties
- assist the executive chef in supervising day-to-day kitchen operations
- deliver exceptional customer experience to maximize sales and revenue
- act as the executive chef in their absence
- ensure compliance with florida state safety and health regulations
- maintain current state food handlers management certificate
- enforce company standards, policies, procedures, and practices
- manage kitchen staff and food preparation processes
