Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Experience managing kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and menu planning

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Creativity and passion for food and service excellence

Job Duties

  • Menu planning and designing the plating presentation for each dish
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time
  • Hiring and training of kitchen staff to prepare and cook all menu items
  • Collaborating with event operations management
  • Optimizing staff productivity
  • Manage kitchen workflow during peak times or when a station needs additional support
  • Managing product inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Ensuring best practices are followed for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Monitoring new industry trends
  • Incorporating feedback from staff and guests to make improvements
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, coaching, training, and development of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt standards
