Job Requirements

  • Minimum five to seven years of experience in commercial or industrial food production
  • At least two years in a management or supervisory role
  • Culinary apprenticeship or formal culinary school certification preferred
  • Additional certifications such as Dietary Chef or Industrial Chef preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations including HACCP
  • Strong financial acumen including cost control and budgeting
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Executes and supervises food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking of food items
  • Assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef during their absence including menu presentation to customers
  • Supervise, coordinate and control kitchen helpers in food storage maintaining tidiness and following the first in - first out principle
  • Conducts, coordinates and supervises inventories
  • Monitors material consumption and orders required food and equipment daily
  • Participates in food product and menu development for presentations
  • Maintains and monitors hygiene, health and safety standards and HACCP compliance
  • Performs quality control checks according to HACCP regulations
  • Conducts quality inspections of goods received
  • Monitors and ensures recipe specification compliance
  • Organizes, staffs and directs the kitchen area effectively
  • Guides, motivates and develops subordinate employees within Human Resources Policy
  • Upholds company values and management principles in the department
  • Implements and controls budget with corrective actions as needed
  • Participates and supports company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP and Lean Manufacturing
