Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen role
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of culinary staff
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and inventory systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve daily operational challenges
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Dayton, Ohio if not local
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team
  • Passion for Mexican cuisine and commitment to hospitality

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Kitchen Leader
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and scheduling
  • Culinary expertise with an understanding of Mexican cuisine and wood-fired cooking techniques
  • Ability to mentor and teach culinary staff
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Business acumen and financial responsibility
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Manage a team of 15 or more cooks and 2-3 sous chefs
  • Oversee kitchen systems including inventory, prep lists, scheduling, and ordering
  • Bring creative culinary ideas to the team and menu
  • Problem solve and develop innovative solutions to kitchen challenges
  • Demonstrate excellent cooking skills with an understanding of flavors and techniques
  • Mentor and develop kitchen staff
  • Take ownership of kitchen finances and contribute to the bottom line
  • Maintain organization and punctuality in all operations
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members
