Job Requirements

  • High school diploma and Culinary Arts training required
  • Serv Safe certification required
  • At least 3 years of relevant culinary and supervisory experience with a focus on catering or event food service
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary arts degree or ACF certification preferred
  • Serv Safe certification required
  • HACCP training preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • At least 3 years of relevant culinary and supervisory experience with a focus on catering or event food service
  • Experience preferably within a retirement community or hospital

Job Duties

  • Planning and preparing meals for catered events alongside the Executive Chef and Dining Director
  • Leading catering staff in food production, presentation, and service
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining food quality, inventory control, and proper storage practices
  • Managing supplies and equipment efficiently to reduce waste and loss
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and event spaces
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate event logistics
