Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year culinary management experience
- 5 years of experience in culinary arts in an upscale restaurant, hotel, resort or club environment
- ability to speak, hear, understand, read and write English
- culinary arts degree desired
- proficiency in Serve Safe, sanitation and HACCP

Job Duties
- Assist in creating and implementing menus
- creating the description for all written menus
- contribution to research and development
- daily special creation according to our concepts
- assist to create menus for various purposes
- ordering of par levels according to the mise en place and menu description
- ensure all mise en place is rotated daily for freshness
- maintain standards for menus
- coordinate and create opening and closing procedures
- develop job descriptions and standard operating procedures
- execute all mise en place functions from setup to scheduling, ordering and receiving
- communicate effectively with peers, management, back and front of house employees
- conduct and attend meetings including daily communication, service, culinary line up, chef's meeting, weekly staff meeting, monthly department meetings
- maintain all sanitation and HACCP documentation in accordance with California and LA County health codes
- ensure superior cleanliness throughout all food and beverage departments
- guide and support the team to exceed guest satisfaction goals
- create weekly schedules according to forecast
- manage food, labor and operational costs effectively
- relieve cooks and chefs for various shifts
- practice effective listening
- communicate popular and unpopular content effectively
- use the associate’s handbook and CoralTree philosophy for coaching
- foster professional relationships among associates
- motivate and maintain a cohesive team
- ensure accurate maintenance of menu and recipe database
- perform related duties as required
- support team learning and teaching
- act as an ambassador for the outlet and Terranea within the community
