Job Requirements

  • Proven experience minimum 2 years as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, food preparation, and execution
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and food cost control
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menu offerings
  • Monitor food presentation and ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for quality and consistency
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, menu tastings, and special events as required
