Job Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- 2+ years of experience working in a culinary-related field
- Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints preferred
- Ability to perform moderate physical effort including lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, stooping, kneeling
- Ability to work in large refrigerators or freezers
- Ability to move heavy inventory items up to 50 pounds
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a loud environment with periodic exposure to unfavorable conditions, moderate exposure to hazards, and occasional use of chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission of BYU
- 2+ years of experience working in a culinary-related field
- Culinary Arts Degree or Culinary Certificate or Certified Sous Chef from the American Culinary Federation preferred
- Retail food experience recommended but not required
Job Duties
- Maintain new menu items with excellence, consistency, and accuracy
- Organize, prioritize, and direct the daily production for the Cannon Commons
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff and student employees
