Job Requirements
- County of San Diego Food Handlers Card is required
- Experience in a high-volume banquet kitchen environment
- Previous leadership role in kitchen operations
- Ability to manage and motivate a large team
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Understanding of food safety legislation
- Proficiency in managing food costs and resources
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume and hotel banquet operation
- Prior union management experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to control costs without compromising quality
- Knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations
- Experience with menu development and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative functions
- Manage the provision of food to Food and Beverage outlets and taking action where necessary to ensure compliance with current legislation
- Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly
- Contribute to menu creation by responding and incorporating Guest feedback
- Ensure the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets
- Manage customer relations when necessary, in the absence of the Executive Banquet Chef
