Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or culinary diploma preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service kitchen
  • Flexible schedule including availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds
  • Commitment to teamwork and respectful workplace culture

Job Qualifications

  • Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service establishment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
  • Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships

Job Duties

  • Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining
  • Daily monitoring of prep production and quality checks of all mise en place prior to service
  • Ensures a quality guest experience through oversight of employees preparing and cooking food
  • Ongoing development and training of back-of-house employees and kitchen supervisory positions
  • Assist with inventory, purchasing, and storage
  • Production of daily specials
