Job Requirements
- Associate degree or culinary diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service kitchen
- Flexible schedule including availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 25-50 pounds
- Commitment to teamwork and respectful workplace culture
Job Qualifications
- Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service establishment
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
- Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships
Job Duties
- Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining
- Daily monitoring of prep production and quality checks of all mise en place prior to service
- Ensures a quality guest experience through oversight of employees preparing and cooking food
- Ongoing development and training of back-of-house employees and kitchen supervisory positions
- Assist with inventory, purchasing, and storage
- Production of daily specials
