Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
- ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism
- effective communication skills
- willingness to work varied hours based upon kitchen needs
- ability to move intermittently during working hours
- capacity to supervise kitchen staff
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged
- cdm certification preferred but not required
- minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
- skilled nursing facility (snf) experience preferred but not required
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- leadership skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- supervise kitchen staff to ensure compliance with regulations, schedules, and meal times
- work in food and nutrition service areas
- communicate effectively with medical and nursing staff and other department supervisors
- handle interactions with emotionally upset residents and family members
- manage intermittent movement during working hours
- coordinate with personnel, visitors, and government agencies under various conditions
- ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
