Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- relevant culinary experience especially in a commercial kitchen
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of lifting and moving food items and containers up to own height
- adherence to client and company covid-19 workplace safety and sanitation protocols
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions
Job Qualifications
- experience in cooking and food preparation
- knowledge of health safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to read and comprehend food recipes production orders and cooking instructions
- experience in banquet or catering production preferred
- strong customer service skills
- positive can-do attitude
- basic supervisory skills
Job Duties
- produce prepare and cook foods including soups sauces salads entrees and catering items as directed by the chef manager
- set up stations prior to service with appropriate equipment and food as determined by supervisor
- assist management in purchasing inventory control and training
- maintain a clean and safe work area following health safety and food handling regulations
- provide exemplary customer service in a courteous helpful manner at all times
