Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work 45-55 hour work weeks with variable hours based on operational needs
- Must be available consistently and act professionally with a positive attitude
- Must be able to travel away from home for 35-45 days for management training
- Must be able to stand, sit, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work a variety of morning, afternoon, evening, and late-night shifts
- High level of stamina required
- Must demonstrate honesty, friendliness, and team orientation
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
- Current Food Safety and Sanitation certification
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking best practices
- Working knowledge of restaurant industry operations, safety, and sanitation standards
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams with varying levels of experience
- Strong time management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain positive vendor relationships and coordinate with customer service representatives
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and varied shifts
- Physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods
- Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
Job Duties
- Creating exceptional culinary experiences for guests
- Overseeing and participating in daily kitchen operations including opening and closing procedures
- Receiving deliveries and managing food preparation and cooking
- Training kitchen staff according to company policies and procedures
- Upholding standards for food preparation and plating
- Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety compliance
- Controlling operational costs and managing kitchen inventory
- Ordering food and supplies to maintain kitchen needs
- Leading and motivating diverse kitchen staff to achieve positive results
- Managing vendor relationships and troubleshooting operational challenges
- Working effectively in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
