Job Requirements
- 2+ years of cooking experience in a well-rated restaurant
- ServSafe Certification
- Must have Food Handler's Card
- Ability to work shifts with long periods of walking and standing
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend and evening shifts
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced dynamic environment
Job Qualifications

- Culinary training is preferred but not required
- ServSafe Certification
- Strong work ethic and commitment to uncompromising quality
- Ability to work shifts with long periods of walking and standing

Job Duties
- Create daily specials for lunch and dinner and ensure proper food presentation
- Incorporate local ingredients in menu items when possible
- Work with General Manager to monitor and control inventory and determine supplies to purchase
- Assist General Manager in scheduling kitchen staff
- Work with General Manager to control labor costs
- Participate in interviewing and hiring of kitchen staff
- Promote teamwork among kitchen staff
- Participate in training of new personnel
- Maintain food safety standards according to state and local guidelines
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness including all cooking vessels and dishes
- Track and schedule all kitchen equipment maintenance
- Maintain clean and safe kitchen environment
- Capable of working all kitchen positions
- Discuss food items and menus with customers and media
