Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Ensures overall cleanliness of kitchens meets GHC health and equipment cleaning standards
- performs periodic inspections of kitchen for food preparation quality, appearance, and sanitation
- leads kitchen team in chef's absence
- provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members
- oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients when Executive Chef is not present
- enforces first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies proper dating and organization of food products
- keeps service line prepped and stocked during prime hours
- assists supervision of food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards
- works with head chef to maintain kitchen organization and staff training
- verifies compliance with food storage standards
- assists Executive Chef with assigned duties and tasks
- maintains pleasant appearance in designated chef coat
- communicates client feedback to upper management
- receives and inspects deliveries for quality and quantity
- maintains professional vendor and client relationships
- abides by scheduling and time management protocols
- monitors scheduling and time management of staff
- washes and cleans raw food products
- stocks and restocks items according to specifications
- transfers to other worksites as necessary
- performs other duties as assigned
