Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- relevant culinary or food service experience preferred
- availability to work flexible hours including special events
- physical ability to perform kitchen duties including standing for extended periods

Job Duties
- Ensure the overall cleanliness of kitchens meets and exceeds health and equipment cleaning standards
- perform periodic inspections of kitchen to observe quality of food preparation and service
- lead kitchen team in chef's absence
- provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members
- oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients in absence of Executive Chef
- ensure first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify food products are properly dated and organized
- keep service line prepped and stocked before and during prime operation hours
- assist with supervision of all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
- work with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
- verify food storage units meet standards and are well managed
- assist Executive Chef with any duties or tasks needed
- maintain appearance with clean branded chef coat
- communicate client feedback to chef and management
- receive trucks and check quantity and quality
- maintain professional relationships with vendors and clients
- abide by scheduling and time management protocols assigned by management
- assist in monitoring scheduling and time management of self and staff
- wash and clean raw food products and ensure proper rotation and hold times
- stock and restock items according to specifications
- transfer to other worksites as necessary
- perform other duties as assigned
