Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Or two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to work full time
- Must be able to manage kitchen operations
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Experience leading kitchen operations and staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods

- Experience in scheduling and labor management
- Capability to develop new culinary ideas and food presentations
- Proficient in maintaining purchasing and inventory standards
- Skilled in guest service and handling complaints
- Able to train and mentor employees
- Familiar with performance appraisal processes
- Committed to compliance with laws and company policies
Job Duties
- Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with food and beverage policies
- Estimates daily production needs and communicates with kitchen personnel
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
- Prepares and cooks various foods including for special functions
- Develops new culinary applications, designs, and decorative food displays
- Maintains purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen staff
- Leads kitchen shifts by preparing food and executing requests
- Utilizes communication skills to lead and influence kitchen team
- Maintains productivity and enforces employee expectations
- Establishes collaborative relationships among staff members
- Communicates performance expectations and provides feedback
- Ensures exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
- Manages day-to-day kitchen operations meeting quality and budget goals
- Trains employees in safety procedures and food handling
- Coaches and mentors staff to improve skills and performance
- Participates in employee appraisal and addresses HR issues
- Analyzes information to solve problems and attends relevant meetings
