Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience in a kitchen leadership role such as sous chef
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to operate and adapt to kitchen inventory and ordering systems
- Willingness to work full-time and salaried position
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with inventory and receiving processes
- Competence in maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness
- Basic administrative skills including ordering and scheduling
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Passion for culinary arts and dedication to operational excellence
Job Duties
- Lead the line by owning service execution across all stations
- Work the line at a high level during peak periods
- Step into any station immediately and effectively
- Prevent tickets from stalling through anticipation and communication
- Maintain calm, control, and clarity under pressure
- Drive daily kitchen organization by ensuring all stations are fully set before service
- Maintain clean, tight, and efficient workspaces
- Enforce proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
- Oversee all receiving protocols and check in orders for quality, accuracy, and proper storage
- Organize walk-ins, dry storage, and prep areas daily
- Train and guide line cooks with clarity and respect
- Set expectations and correct behavior in the moment
- Maintain a professional, inclusive, and focused kitchen culture
- Support the Chef by acting as their proxy when they are absent
- Execute prep plans, pars, and production schedules
- Assist with ordering, scheduling inputs, and basic admin
- Build and maintain prep lists that reflect actual service needs
- Ensure prep is completed accurately and on time
- Eliminate last-minute scrambling through proper planning
