Job Requirements

  • Attain a high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • possess prior experience in cooking or culinary roles
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
  • skill in handling kitchen equipment safely
  • physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • food safety certification if required

Job Qualifications

  • Past experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary position
  • comprehensive understanding of food preparation principles and techniques for cooking
  • being familiar with food safety standards and sanitation practices is important
  • obtain certification for food safety if it is a requirement and has not been previously obtained
  • fundamental arithmetic and numerical abilities
  • skillful in both communication and teamwork capacities
  • attaining a high school diploma or its equal is favored, though not compulsory

Job Duties

  • Prepare a range of dishes according to set recipes and guidelines for production
  • prepare workstations by organizing required ingredients and utensils
  • arrange ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, blending, and similar tasks
  • properly use various kitchen utensils and equipment such as knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers to ensure safety in the kitchen
  • employ a variety of cooking techniques like baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to prepare and create diverse meals
  • organize and ornament dishes based on defined expectations for their presentation aesthetics
  • adhere to specified food safety procedures and store food appropriately
  • clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • deliver top-notch customer support with a positive demeanor
  • follow all of Aramark's safety and sanitation protocols diligently
  • ensure the safety of corporate valuables
