Job Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
- post-secondary culinary training preferred
- brand certification a plus
- requires 3 to 5 years experience with kitchen operations and staff supervision
- must be certified in Serve Safe Management certification course
- demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills and ability to motivate others
- demonstrates organization and multi-project time/issue management
- requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- as well as converse comfortably with individuals
Job Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of kitchen operations and staff supervision experience
- Serve Safe Management certification

Job Duties
- Assist in supervising day-to-day kitchen activities
- assign responsibilities and set deadlines for kitchen staff
- promote safety and sanitation in food handling
- follow HACCP procedures
- assist with menu planning and inventory management
- maintain effective cost control and quality standards
- comply with company and regulatory operational procedures
- serve as a resource for resolving complex kitchen issues
- provide recommendations on hiring and promotions
- ensure positive associate relations and manage employee performance programs
- deliver high-quality customer service and staff training
