Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- prior experience in culinary or related role
- familiarity with various cooking techniques and food safety standards
- ability to follow health and safety protocols
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- capability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- willingness to obtain food safety certification if not already certified
Job Qualifications
- past experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary position
- comprehensive understanding of food preparation principles and techniques for cooking
- being familiar with food safety standards and sanitation practices is important
- obtain certification for food safety, if it is a requirement and has not been previously obtained
- fundamental arithmetic and numerical abilities
- skillful in both communication and teamwork capacities
- attaining a high school diploma or its equal is favored, though not compulsory
Job Duties
- prepare a range of dishes according to set recipes and guidelines for production
- prepare workstations by organizing required ingredients and utensils
- arrange ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, blending, and similar tasks
- properly use various kitchen utensils and equipment, such as knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers, to ensure safety in the kitchen
- employ a variety of cooking techniques like baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to prepare and create diverse meals
- organize and ornament dishes based on defined expectations for their presentation aesthetics
- adhere to the specified food safety procedures and store food appropriately
- clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- deliver top-notch customer support with a positive demeanor
- follow all of Aramark's safety and sanitation protocols diligently
- ensure the safety of corporate valuables
