Job Requirements
- Completion of A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- relevant experience in culinary or kitchen management
- experience in high-volume and catering operations preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- proficiency in computer applications
- ServSafe certification preferred
- ability to participate in client satisfaction activities
- willingness to work day shifts with flexible hours
- ability to supervise culinary associates
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- catering, high volume, complex foodservice operations experience
- institutional and batch cooking experiences preferably in healthcare
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise culinary associates in the absence of the Executive Chef
- run the exhibition station in the retail cafe
- support patient dining culinary services
