Job Duties
- Produce innovative and diversified menus that reflect the restaurant's overall vision
- Train kitchen staff to adhere to restaurant policies and sanitation regulations
- Organize schedules and direct kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Design aesthetic plating presentations
- Ensure hygiene and food safety compliance
- Maintain kitchen inventory and assigned budget
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduling requirements
- Comply with company standards and safety regulations
- Ensure kitchen personnel fulfill job functions
- Create menus and food presentations
- Address and resolve customer problems efficiently
- Perform spot checks for menu accuracy and taste
- Minimize spoilage, waste, and overproduction
- Review house counts, forecasts, and VIP lists
- Monitor banquet and catering activities
- Prepare annual employee reviews
- Assist in achieving departmental objectives
- Expedite peak meal periods with hands-on involvement
- Work within monthly food cost budgets and control waste
- Review food sales daily
- Perform duties as requested by the General Manager
