Job Duties

  • Produce innovative and diversified menus that reflect the restaurant's overall vision
  • Train kitchen staff to adhere to restaurant policies and sanitation regulations
  • Organize schedules and direct kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
  • Design aesthetic plating presentations
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety compliance
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and assigned budget
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduling requirements
  • Comply with company standards and safety regulations
  • Ensure kitchen personnel fulfill job functions
  • Create menus and food presentations
  • Address and resolve customer problems efficiently
  • Perform spot checks for menu accuracy and taste
  • Minimize spoilage, waste, and overproduction
  • Review house counts, forecasts, and VIP lists
  • Monitor banquet and catering activities
  • Prepare annual employee reviews
  • Assist in achieving departmental objectives
  • Expedite peak meal periods with hands-on involvement
  • Work within monthly food cost budgets and control waste
  • Review food sales daily
  • Perform duties as requested by the General Manager
