Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years cooking experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must pass all required pre-screening and background checks
  • internal candidates must have held current position for at least six months without disciplinary actions
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • must obtain required work cards and non-gaming registration as required
  • ability to work safely following company policies
  • maintain regular attendance
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and vendors
  • ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • comply with all legal and company regulations
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and repeat movements for extended periods
  • able to work in environments with noise and smoking

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • minimum of 2 years cooking experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work a variety of shifts including days, swings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • experience in mentoring or training kitchen staff preferred
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • familiarity with inventory and cost control
  • proficiency in recipe documentation and adherence
  • team player with a positive attitude
  • able to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Support the Room Chef in food quality and cost control
  • complete inventories and train back of house team members
  • participate in financial review process including research and reporting
  • document recipes, measurements, and quantities for consistency
  • train and monitor culinary team on recipe adherence
  • ensure standard kitchen operating procedures are met
  • provide leadership, mentoring, and corrective counseling
  • assist in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new team members
  • schedule staff and assist with payroll activities
  • communicate effectively with front of house management
  • support and lead food prep ensuring standards
  • oversee line during service and monitor cooks progress
  • maintain kitchen and food flow during service
  • prepare and coordinate daily prep sheets
  • collaborate on menu creations and daily specials
  • manage inventory and costs
  • process requisitions properly
  • monitor and receive products meeting standards
  • maintain knowledge of food products and proper rotation
  • label and date products for sanitation
  • safely use kitchen equipment and cleaning products
  • provide exceptional guest service with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • develop positive working relationships with all personnel
  • ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • work safely following company policies
  • maintain regular attendance
  • display professionalism and approachability
  • assist with training and mentoring
  • uphold appearance standards
