Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to an Associate of Science degree or relevant culinary experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Experience in catering and high volume foodservice operations
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet use
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates
  • Develop daily menu items and preparation techniques
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on ordering and inventory management
