Job Requirements

  • College degree or certification in culinary field or hospitality field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' cooking experience
  • Minimum 2 years' kitchen management experience
  • 2 years' banquet chef experience preferred
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Culinary math skills including multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Ability to understand and accomplish financial goals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other payroll and purchasing software
  • Food and Beverage Service Worker Permit where applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Job Duties

  • Communicate daily with the Executive Chef regarding planning, staffing, and internal procedures
  • Complete daily food requisitions and daily specials
  • Assist in hiring, training, and coaching kitchen staff
  • Play an integral role in menu development
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean, organized kitchen
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to perfection
  • Uphold food safety and quality standards
