Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Ability to lead kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety laws and sanitation
- Strong communication skills
- Capacity to manage team performance
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
- Skilled in budgeting and inventory management
Job Qualifications

- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience

- Ability to prepare various types of cuisine
- Experience in kitchen operations and staff supervision

Job Duties
- Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures
- Estimates daily production needs and communicates to kitchen personnel
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and preparation
- Prepares and cooks foods of all types
- Develops new culinary applications, ideas, or products
- Assists in food presentation and creates decorative food displays
- Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Performs duties of kitchen managers and employees as necessary
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen workers
- Leads shifts through personal food preparation and execution
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence team members
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Provides exceptional customer service and manages guest feedback
- Achieves and exceeds culinary, budget, and team goals
- Trains employees in safety procedures
- Identifies and coaches developmental needs of staff
- Participates in employee performance appraisals
- Communicates performance expectations
- Attends pertinent meetings
- Provides information to supervisors and team
- Analyzes information to solve problems effectively
