Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum three years experience in restaurant or senior living cooking
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Culinary degree preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage staff and coordinate kitchen operations

- Minimum of three years restaurant, senior living or equivalent cooking experience
Job Duties
- Assist in the overall coordination of food preparation and presentation
- Forecast labor and supplies following the Food and Beverage budget
- Interview, train, schedule and supervise kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation
- Ensure sanitary handling, preparation, proper storage of food and care of equipment
- Assist with receiving and storage of foods and non-food supplies
- Maintain community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization
- Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards
- Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
- Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee work assignments for kitchen personnel and assign special jobs
- Assist in preparation of daily production sheets and forecast supply needs
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal service hours preserving quality and temperature
- Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
- Assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary
- Visit residents to evaluate food service and conduct evaluations to improve operations
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
- Support culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy
